William B. Meyer, Inc. Holds Food Drives at 6 Locations & Collects 1,200 LBS. of Food!

June 27, 2018

Our friends at William B. Meyer, Inc. held a food drive from April 1-May 14 at all six of their locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York. The goal was to collect 3,000 non-perishable items but, as a company that has made community service a core value, they were able to meet that goal...and then some! A grand total of 4,520 items were donated, including 1,200 lbs. of food!

The items were distributed to charities in the communities William B. Meyer serves: the Merton Center (Bridgeport, CT), FoodShare (Bloomington, CT), and Lifting Up Westchester (White Plains, NY).

William B Meyer's CEO Mike Racette said that his company is devoted to doing what they can to help end hunger.

"Helping those in need, especially in our surrounding communities, is crucial to our values," Racette said. "I am truly impressed by the amount of donations and show of support by all of our team members!”

More than 41 million Americans, including 1 in 6 children, face hunger every day. We are proud to work with companies like William B. Meyer who recognize how urgent the problem is and are taking action. Thank you to everyone who helped make this food drive such a massive success!
