White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery Organizes 6th Annual Summer Food DriveJune 19, 2018 | 4:52 pm |
Even during the busy summer moving season, White Glove Moving, Storage, and Delivery, a Bekins agent is committed to fighting hunger in Florida’s Treasure Coast community. With the help of several local organizations, the White Glove team hosted their 6th annual summer food drive from May 30-June 18.
During the school year, more than 21 million children in the United States rely on free and reduced lunch programs. These meals make up for over half of the daily calories for many students. Once school lets out for the summer, it becomes much harder for these children to have access to nourishing and healthy meals.
In the Treasure Coast area, more than 26,000 children are food insecure. Every year, White Glove Moving, Storage, and Delivery makes it their mission to alleviate summer hunger in their community.
“It is so amazing to see the multitude of boxes overflowing with food and knowing that all of it is going directly to those families and folks who need it the most in our community,” said Anna Valencia Tillery, White Glove’s Vice President of Marketing. “At White Glove Moving of Florida, we are really proud of all our business partners and customers who see the value in donating food and it is our pleasure to make participating easy by delivering and picking up all the boxes throughout the four-county area. When we all do a little it equals up to be a whole lot.”
White Glove Moving, Storage, & Delivery collected more than 2,300 pounds of food, easily exceeding their goal of 1,000 lbs. Their donation to the Treasure Coast Food Bank will provide more than 1,900 meals to their neighbors in need.
Thank you to White Glove Moving, Storage & Delivery for always stepping up to help your community!
