Summer is the busiest seasons for moving companies, but White Glove Moving, Storage, and Delivery is still committed to fighting hunger in Florida’s Treasure Coast community each year. In June, the Bekins agents held their 7th annual summer food drive!
Food banks face their greatest need during the summertime since millions of children throughout the United States rely on free and reduced lunch programs. Once the school year ends, these children struggle to access nourishing and healthy meals. In the Treasure Coast area, more than 26,000 children are food insecure. Every year, White Glove Moving, Storage, and Delivery makes it their mission to alleviate summer hunger in their community.
This year, White Glove Moving, Storage, & Delivery collected 3,543 lbs. of food, which is 1,000 lbs more than they collected in 2018, and will provide 2,900 meals for their neighbors in need! All of the donations were delivered to the Treasure Coast Food Bank.
