The Home Depot of Shorewood, IL held a food drive from June 11-July 8. Employees collected non-perishable food donations, such as rice, pasta, peanut butter, canned tuna, canned soups, and canned fruits/vegetables to help provide meals for their neighbors in need. Overall they collected 120 lbs. of food, which equates to 100 meals! When they aren't helping customers they are building a foundation for less fortunate families and their children.
Boyer-Rosene Moving & Storage, a Bekins agent, generously provided boxes and delivered all donations to DuPage Township Food Pantry, at the conclusion of the event.
More than 1.4 million people, including 1 in 7 children, in Illinois are food insecure. Thank you to everyone at The Home Depot and Boyer-Rosene Moving & Storage. for taking action this summer!
