The Gallery Residential Brokerage Sinks Their Teeth Into A Shark Week Food Drive

Sorry Bruce, looks like fish are, in fact, food! Throughout Shark Week (July 22-29), The Gallery Residential Brokerage held food drives at their offices in Wall and Asbury Park, NJ to collect cans of tuna in honor of the fish-themed week. And what’s not to love about tuna? This fish is kid-friendly, rich in vitamins that strengthen the immune system and helpful in lowering blood pressure. It also happens to be one of the most requested food items at food pantries nationwide.

Together, both offices collected a total of 136 lbs. of food, which will provide meals to 110 people in the local community. All donations were delivered by Lowy’s Moving Service, a Wheaton agent, to Fulfill. The Gallery Residential Brokerage’s donations will help provide meals to the more than 108,00 people, including 1 in 8 children, who are food-insecure in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

No one likes to waste perfectly good food, especially not sharks! There’s no better way to honor Shark Week than to take some time to raise awareness about food waste and take action to fight hunger in the local community!
