The Burlington Camden County Association of Realtors (BCCAR) and our friends from Simonik Transportation & Warehousing Group took our 100 Can Challenge to help fight hunger in South Jersey during the holiday season.
From November 26-December 19, 6 BCCAR offices and Simonik Transportation were challenged to collect 100 non-perishable food items to help provide holiday meals for their neighbors in need. And based on the grand total, it's safe to say that they all met their goals! More than 1,000 lbs. of food was collected, which is enough to provide 875 meals! Simonik Transfer & Warehousing then picked up the donations from each of the participating offices and delivered it all to The Food Bank of South Jersey.
More than 144,000 people in South Jersey are food insecure, including 1 in 8 children. We are so grateful to work with companies like Simonik Transportation and Warehousing, and industry groups like the BCCAR, who realize how important it is to give back to the communities they serve.
