Quality Move Management Collects 50,000+ LBS. of Food to Fight Hunger in Canada

January 22, 2018

Quality Move Management (QMM) held food drives at four locations in Canada from October 23-December 22. Their goal was to collect 10,000 lbs. of non-perishable food, such as peanut butter, tuna, cereal, pasta, and rice, to help fight hunger during the holiday season. We thought that was an ambitious goal, but we obviously underestimated QMM. Their branches in Brampton, Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver combined to collect more than 52,000 lbs. of food -- that's enough to provide 43,500 meals!

“We at QMM make a conscious effort to give back to the communities in which we operate,” said Tim Nager, President of QMM. “We encourage volunteerism in our company and I was confident that with our company’s resources and passionate employees, that we would be capable of something significant in terms of an overall contribution.”

“We strive to make a positive impact on our customers and in our communities,” said Roy Phelps, Chief Commercial Officer of QMM. “We’re humbled by the opportunity to help so many families fight food insecurity and we are fortunate to have amazing clients and vendors that really made this donation possible.”

More than 860,000 people, including 1 in 3 children, in Canada are food insecure.  Thank you to Tim, Roy, and everyone else who helped make this food drive such an incredible success!
