Our friends from CORT Furniture Rental of Houston held a food drive in conjunction with a comedy improv show on January 25. Anyone attending the event was required to donate at least 1 can of food. Incredibly, more than 1,200 lbs. of food was donated, which is enough to provide 1,000 meals for food insecure citizens in the greater Houston area!
CORT Houston ALSO volunteered to deliver all of the donations to the East Spring Branch Food Pantry.
There are more than 720,000 citizens in Harris County facing hunger on a daily basis, including a shocking 1 in 4 children. Thank you to the team at CORT of Houston for hosting this amazing food drive!
