Every once and a while, dancing can be a fun way to let off steam and cut loose and Miss Mare's Dance Studio (Eatontown, N) is no stranger to that. This fall, however, they decided they wanted to do something different and get involved in their community by hosting food drive! Earlier this month, Miss Mare's Dance Studio accepted and conquered our 100 Can Challenge to help fight hunger at the Jersey Shore.
Over the course of 3 weeks, Miss Mare's collected 90 pounds of soup, pasta sauce, vegetables, and other non-perishable food was collected which is enough to provide 75 meals for their neighbors in need! All of the donations were delivered to The Center of Asbury Park.
More than 53,000 people in Monmouth County, including 1 in 10 children, are food insecure. Thank you to everyone at Miss Mare's Dance Studio for taking the 100 Can Challenge and helping to raise awareness about food insecurity in your community!
Want to host a food drive of your own? We'd love to help!
