Screen Shot 2014-06-27 at 7.49.04 AMAll month-long the crews at myBekins have squared off in a food drive competition to see who could collect the most food for their local food bank in the first annual myBekins Company Wide Food Drive. Sixteen myBekins locations from all around the country took action against hunger in their local community and we couldn’t be prouder of their efforts.

When the dust had settled, the team from Warrenville were victorious with a collection total of 1,939 lbs. of food, enough to provide a meal to over 1,600 people. The donations will bring relief to the more than 1.8  million people across Illinois that struggle to find their next meal.

To reward their valiant effort, each team member at Warrenville will receive an extra vacation day to enjoy with their friends and family.

Altogether the crews from different myBekins offices brought in more than 4,500 lbs. of food during their month long food drive. With the summer months just around the corner, this food will support the food banks that struggle to keep their shelves stocked during the summer holidays.
