Nobody ever said moving was going to be cheap! Here are 5 common expenses we often forget about when moving.

  1. UPDATING DOCUMENTS:

From your passport to your license. Do not forget to update them! You may have more than you think but bills going to the wrong address can cause more of a hassle.

  2. UTILITY FEES:

Moving into a new house comes at a cost. New cable, internet, and phone providers all have fees when setting up your new account.

  3. TRAVELING EXPENSES:

Whether it be driving or flying to your new home — travel can be expensive. If you are driving, think about how¬†much gas, tolls, and meals will cost you.

  4. CLEANING SUPPLIES:

Of course, you are going to clean your new house. All the cleaning supplies are on the truck and you want a clean house before they come. Buying new ones will not be cheap and you will also go through a lot of the supplies, so buy the club pack of paper towels.

  5. PROTECTIVE MATERIAL FOR APPLIANCES AND FURNITURE:

Stoves, refrigerators, and other appliances can’t go in the truck without protection. Protective material can be costly, but it is better than paying for all new furniture.
