NAPA, CA – Mover’s Choice and Move For Hunger today announced a partnership that will help to provide much-needed assistance to food banks across the United States. As a partner, Mover’s Choice will support Move For Hunger’s efforts to reduce food waste and fight hunger nationwide; to date, the non-profit’s network of relocation professionals has collected and delivered nearly 14 million pounds of food – providing more than 11.6 million meals – to food banks and pantries across the United States and Canada.
“One in 8 Americans is food insecure, which means that they don’t have access to enough affordable, nutritious food. Meanwhile, we are wasting 40% of the food we produce every year,” explains Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. “Mover’s Choice understands that hunger and food waste are problems we can solve. We are so excited to call them our partners.”
“Mover’s Choice is so proud and excited to be part of a great cause that leverages the unique position our industry is in to help fight hunger,” said Clayton Cavell, Chief Relationship Officer of Mover’s Choice.
Through the support of partners like Mover’s Choice, Move For Hunger can continue to help the more than 41 million Americans who are struggling to find their next meal.
