This past Saturday, Move For Hunger won $125,000 in grant money at Chase Bank’s American Giving Awards. This kind of national recognition is HUGE for us and we are so excited to have this platform to share our story with a bigger audience than ever.

The American Giving Awards aired on NBC and was hosted by Bob Costas. Other celebrities in attendance included Miley Cyrus, Colin Farrell, Gabrielle Union and LeAnn Rimes. Move For Hunger had the honor of being introduced by Grammy Award winning rapper, 50 Cent, who shares our passion of fighting the hunger problem in our country.

Move For Hunger was amongst 4 other amazing charities that shared a total of $2 million in grants from Chase. The grand prize million dollar grant recipient was To Write Love On Her Arms. The second place $500,000 grant went to Let’s Get Ready. The third place $250,000 grant was given to The Matthew Shepard Foundation, and the other $125,000 grant was given to Wish Upon a Hero. All of these organizations support extremely notable causes and Move For Hunger is honored to have shared a stage with these other community heroes.
$125,000 is the largest grant that Move For Hunger has ever received, and we can’t thank everyone enough for their dedicated support throughout the entire voting process. To everyone who voted and helped us get the vote out- THANK YOU! We have the most amazing supporters and couldn’t have accomplished this without you.
