Matco Moving Solutions Holds First Food Drive

The team from Matco Moving Solutions of Edmonton recently held a food drive and collected 340 pounds of non-perishables to donate to Edmonton’s Food Bank!

How did they collect so much food? Well, Matco Moving Solutions promised their staff that anyone who donated would also receive a chance to throw a whipped cream pie at members of the upper management team! Laughs were shared by all as the donations kept rolling in, making this food drive a serious success.

Edmonton’s Food Bank welcomed the donation with open arms. The Bank’s mission, “to be stewards in the collection of surplus and donated food for the effective distribution, free of charge, to people in need in our community while seeking solutions to the causes of hunger,” offers hope for the future.

Food insecurity is widespread in Alberta. According to PROOF, 11.4% of households in the province are food insecure. This food drive will provide 280 meals to Matco’s neighbors in need.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone at Matco Moving Solutions who donated to support our fight to end hunger in Canada!
