Hunters Glen Apartment Springs Into Action!

In May, our amazing friends at Hunters Glen Apartments in Upper Marlboro, MD held a Spring Into Action food drive! In just 2 weeks, the residents and staff donated more than 100 lbs. of food, which is enough to provide 80 meals for their neighbors in need! Our fantastic partners at CORT‘s Washington, D.C. branch volunteered to pick up the donations and delivered them to the local food bank.

As a member of our Multi-Family Apartment Program, Hunters Glen Apartments is also providing their residents with the opportunity to donate their non-perishable food when they move out. It’s a simple way for their community to be more sustainable and fight hunger at the same time.

More than 650,000 people in Maryland are struggling with food insecurity every single day, including 1 in 6 children. Thank you so much to Kara Barnhart at Hunters Glen for organizing this wonderful event and to everyone who made a donation. We appreciate your support!
