GLOBAL MOBILITY SOLUTIONS RENEWS PARTNERSHIP

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Global Mobility Solutions and Move For Hunger today announced that they have renewed their partnership that provides much-needed assistance to food banks across the United States. As a partner since 2014, Global Mobility Solutions supports Move For Hunger’s efforts to reduce food waste and fight hunger nationwide. To date, the non-profit’s network of relocation professionals has collected and delivered more than 12 million pounds of food – providing more than 10 million meals – to food banks and pantries across the United States and Canada.

When people move, they often throw out a good deal of “stuff.”  Unfortunately, much of this stuff is food that could be delivered to a family in need, rather than just left behind. The service is free to customers and turns every move into an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate, simply by donating their unwanted cans and non-perishables on moving day.

“More than 41 million Americans face hunger every day, but we’re wasting 40% of the food we produce every year,” explains Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. “With Global Mobility Solutions as a partner, we can ensure food that is normally thrown away during the relocation process is delivered to a family facing hunger instead.”

“Global Mobility Solutions is proud to continue its partnership with Move For Hunger,” said President Steven Wester. “Our team members and network partners are glad to collect unwanted food from our clients and their transferees, and donate it though Move For Hunger to reduce hunger in our nation.”

Through the support of partners like Global Mobility Solutions, Move For Hunger can continue to help the more than 41 million Americans who are struggling to find their next meal.
