Runner Highlight | Dustin Johnson

Our lastest Team Move For Hunger highlight features one of our runners for the upcoming CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 5K. Dustin Johnson is going to be running the half marathon on November 4 after raising more than $500 by harnessing the power of social media. By giving regular updates and tagging donors, Dustin was able to raise awareness for the cause while thanking his donors at the same time.

A runner off and on for the last eight years, Dustin is currently in the Army Reserve and finds that running helps him stay in shape. After doing a local race that benefits a homeless center in Indianapolis, Dustin decided that his races should benefit others. In addition to fundraising, Dustin has been involved by volunteering at shelters and working with his church to feed the less fortunate. He came across Move For Hunger after he registered with the race and did research to understand our mission.

“I see the need to continually help those in need and always give my time and resources to those in need when I can,” he said.
