Cornerstone Apartments Fights Hunger in Orlando

Cornerstone Apartments, a new member of our Multi-Family Program, held their first food drive last month!

From February 1-13, the staff and residents at the Orlando, FL property were encouraged to donate peanut butter, cereal, pasta, canned goods, and other non-perishable items to help provide meals for their neighbors in need. Nearly 160 lbs. of food were collected, which is the equivalent of 130 meals! Our friends from Suddath Relocation Systems of Orlando volunteered to pick up and deliver all of the donations to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

More than 614,000 people in the greater Orlando area struggle with food insecurity. Thank you to Cornerstone Apartments and Suddath Relocation Systems for recognizing the urgency of the problem and taking action.
