AVE Teaches the Next Generation the Importance of Giving Back

May 21, 2019

AVE, one of the nation’s leading corporate housing providers and one of our official partners, taught the next generation of their team the importance of giving back to the community by holding a food drive on Take Your Kids to Work Day at all 13 of their locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California.

Employees and their children were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to help provide meals for their neighbors in need. The 13 communities donated nearly 430 lbs. of food combined, which is enough to provide 365 meals!

Our friends at Two Men and a Truck of West Chester/Philadelphia delivered the collections from the King of Prussia location to their local food bank. San Francisco’s branch of CORT brought donations from the Emeryville apartments to their local food bank, while CORT's New York team delivered the collections from the Union and Florham Park communities to Fulfill.

As a member of our Corporate Housing program, AVE also provides their residents with donation bags where they can place their unopened, non-perishable food items. Members of our network routinely pick up the bags and deliver them to local food banks/pantries.

Food insecurity affects more than 40 million people in the United States, including 1 in 6 children. Thank you to our friends at AVE, Two Men and a Truck, and CORT for making a difference in the communities you serve!
