AVE, one of the nation's leading corporate housing providers, held their fourth annual Thanksgiving Food Drive at 13 of their locations across California, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania last year.
The staff and residents at each location were encouraged to donate non-perishable, Thanksgiving-themed items, such as stuffing, cranberry sauce, instant potatoes, and gravy, to help set the table for families in need. A grand total of 1,650 lbs. of food was collected, which is enough to provide nearly 1,400 meals!
Gentle Giant Moving Company of Philadelphia picked up the donations from the Blue Bell and Franklin locations and delivered it to Philabundance.
Main Street Movers, a Bekins Van Lines agent, picked up the food from the Florham Park complex and brought it to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
The West Chester/Philadelphia branch of Two Men and a Truck picked up the donations from the Lansdale location and delivered it to The Salvation Army in West Chester.
Wayne Moving and Storage, an Atlas Van Lines agent, picked up the collections from the Malvern, Newtown Square, King of Prussia and Downington complexes and delivered it to the West Chester Food Cupboard.
Anderson Bros. Movers picked up the food from the Walnut Creek location and delivered it to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.
The New York branch of Crown Relocations picked up the food from the Clifton, Union and Somerset complexes and brought it to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
The San Francisco branch of Shamrock Moving and Storage picked up the donations from the Emeryville location and delivered it to the San Francisco Marin Food Bank.
AVE has been an official partner of Move For Hunger since 2015. Each year, they host the Thanksgiving Food Drive, as well as another food drive in September to celebrate Hunger Action Month. Last year, the properties collected a total of 1,900 lbs. of food, which is enough to provide 1,580 meals!
