The team at Andy's Transfer & Storage had a mission: to fill one of their moving trucks with non-perishable food. From October 23-November 3, employees were asked to bring donations of peanut butter, tuna fish, canned goods, pasta, cereal, etc. The food drive concluded on November 4, when members of the local community were invited to stop by Andy Transfer & Storage's warehouse and make a donation.
Together, they collected 700 pounds of food -- that's enough to provide 580 meals! Andy's Transfer & Storage personally delivered all of the donations were delivered to the Salvation Army of Glendale People's Choice Market.
More than 1.2 million people, including 1 in 5 children, in Los Angeles County are food insecure. Thank you to everyone at Andy's Transfer & Storage for helping to fight hunger in your hometown!
