In honor of Shark Week, many members of our network were chomping at the bit for an opportunity to fight hunger by holding a jaw-esome, Shark Week food drive!
Alliance Residential Company joined in the Shark Week fun by holding a food drive at their office in Phoenix, AZ. Employees were encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations, with an emphasis on canned tuna and canned salmon, which are highly requested items by food banks year-round.
This Shark Week food drive went just swimmingly, and Alliance Residential Company collected more than 165 pounds of food for the Hope For Hunger Food Bank, providing 140 meals for their neighbors need. Donations like this are so important in Arizona where 1 in 7 people struggle with food insecurity, including 1 in 5 children.
A huge thank you goes out to Alliance Residential for holding this food drive at their office, and to Beltmann Relocation Group for volunteering their time to transport all of the donations to the local food bank!
