Suite Home Chicago Holds Food Drive to Fight Summer Hunger in the Windy City

August 24, 2017

Corporate Housing provider Suite Home Chicago hosted a food drive at Marquee at Block 37  from August 14-18 to fight summer hunger in the Windy City. Residents, employees, and other members of the local community were encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable items, like peanut butter, tuna fish, rice, beans, pasta, and cereal, to help provide meals for their neighbors in need.

"The staff and residents of Marquee at Block 37 are always excited to have opportunities to give back to the community," said Alexandra Waynick, Marquee at Block 37's Experience Specialist. "Our staff and residents were eager to donate to the cause in whatever way they could."

New World Van Lines of Chicago volunteered their time and resources to deliver all of the donations to the North Park Friendship Center.

More than 660,000 people, including 1 in 6 children, in the greater Chicago area face hunger each day. Thank you to the staff at Marquee at Block 37, Suite Home Chicago, New World Van Lines, and everyone who made a donation for supporting our fight to end hunger in Illinois and across the United States!

Anyone can host a food drive. We can help!
