A-1 First Class Moving & Storage, an Atlas Van Lines agent, hosted their fifth annual Fill-a-Truck food drive on February 24 from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM.
The event was held outside of the Super Stop & Shop in Oceanside, New York. A-1 First Class Moving collected 100 lbs. of food which is enough to provide 80 meals to their neighbors in need! All of the donations were delivered to Island Harvest Food Bank, which provides assistance to the nearly 170,000 individuals, including 1 in 8 children, in Nassau and Suffolk Counties who are food insecure.
Since 2014, A-1 First Class Moving & Storage has collected more 3,200 lbs of food at their Fill-A-Truck events - that's enough to help provide more than 2,600 meals! Their company's name is indicative of the kind of the kind of company they are and we are happy to work alongside them!
