Alin Party Superstore in Lakewood and Riverside, CA each hosted a Thanksgiving food drive from October 30-November 20. The stores invited customers and members of the local communities to donate non-perishable food items, such as stuffing, instant potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, canned vegetables, and pie filling to help provide holiday meals for their neighbors in need.
More than 200 lbs. of food was collected between the two stores - that's the equivalent of 170 meals!
All of the donations from the Lakewood store were delivered to Food Finders, courtesy of Rebel Van Lines, a Stevens agent. All donations from Riverside were delivered to Feeding America Riverside, courtesy of Budd Van Lines (West Coast Branch).
More than 4.8 million people, including 1 in 5 children, in California are food insecure. Thank you to everyone at Alin Party Superstore, Rebel Van Lines, and Budd Van Lines for taking action this holiday season!
